The H2Hos: A Renegade Feminist Synchronized Swim Team began in Austin, Texas during the summer of 2001 when some girlfriends were watching an Esther Williams movie and thought that it was time to bring water shows to the larger post-modern populace. As a group of radical artists, activists, graduate students and social workers, the H2Hos share a belief in the transformational power of women's creative collaboration. The team strives to re-present feminism through the aquatic arts as something that is dynamic, aesthetically engaging and outright spectacular. Plus, we are out and out in love with synchronized swimming and there is nothing much else to do during Texas summers but swim!

The H2Hos perform every summer with our signature band, Wishing Well. Our musical accompaniment is integral to our performances as they write and perform original work for each and every show. Quite simply, they rock.
